Job Summary
CIBC is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior QA Analyst to join our dynamic team. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and execution of test plans, test cases, and test scripts for various software applications.
- Participate in requirement gathering sessions to understand project scope and deliverables.
- Perform manual and automated testing, logging defects, and tracking their resolution.
- Collaborate with developers and product managers to ensure comprehensive testing coverage.
- Support the implementation of quality assurance best practices and methodologies.
- Analyze testing results and provide actionable feedback to stakeholders.
- Maintain documentation related to testing processes and results.
- Participate in team meetings, providing updates on testing progress and challenges.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Familiarity with software development life cycle (SDLC) and quality assurance methodologies.
- Basic knowledge of testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JUnit).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and a passion for quality.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Experience
- No prior experience is required; however, internships or relevant coursework in software testing or quality assurance are advantageous.
- Experience in working with Agile methodologies is a plus.
Working Hours
- Full-time position with standard working hours (Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM).
- Flexibility for remote work may be available.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Understanding of basic programming concepts and languages (e.g., Java, Python) is beneficial.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new tools and technologies.
