Job Summary
Fresher Job is seeking a highly motivated and experienced General Engineering Superintendent (GES) to join our dynamic mining team. The GES will be responsible for overseeing all engineering activities within our mining operations, ensuring that projects are executed efficiently, safely, and within budget. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the engineering team to deliver effective maintenance and project management services.
- Develop, implement, and monitor engineering plans and schedules to ensure timely project completion.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, environmental regulations, and company policies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize operations and improve productivity.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of engineering practices and equipment.
- Prepare and manage budgets for engineering projects and maintenance activities.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks related to engineering operations.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
- Mentor and develop engineering staff, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Mining Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification preferred.
- Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate teams.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and analytical skills.
- Proficient in engineering software and tools relevant to mining operations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of liaising effectively with various stakeholders.
Experience
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in the mining industry, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Proven experience in managing engineering projects from inception to completion.
- Extensive knowledge of mining operations, safety regulations, and engineering best practices.
Working Hours
- Standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with additional hours as needed to meet project deadlines and operational requirements.
