Job Summary
Fresher Job is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Customs Specialist to join our team for the evening shift. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring compliance with all customs regulations and managing the import and export processes efficiently. You will collaborate with various stakeholders to facilitate smooth logistics operations while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and compliance. This position is ideal for individuals with a strong understanding of customs procedures and a passion for facilitating international trade.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the customs clearance process for all import and export shipments.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant customs regulations and documentation requirements.
- Collaborate with freight forwarders, shipping companies, and internal teams to coordinate shipment logistics.
- Prepare, review, and submit necessary customs documentation, including declarations and invoices.
- Maintain accurate records of customs transactions and ensure proper filing for audits.
- Stay updated on changes in customs regulations, tariffs, and trade agreements to ensure compliance.
- Provide guidance and training to internal teams regarding customs processes and compliance best practices.
- Resolve any customs-related issues or discrepancies in a timely manner.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Business, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of customs regulations and procedures.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and customs software.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Experience
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in customs brokerage or related logistics field.
- Experience with import/export documentation and customs clearance processes.
- Previous experience working in a fast-paced environment is preferred.
Working Hours
- This position requires availability for the evening shift, typically from 3 PM to 11 PM, Monday through Friday. Flexibility to work weekends or holidays as needed.
