Key Responsibilities

  • Document and track all support requests using our ticketing system, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution.
  • Collaborate with team members to escalate and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Maintain and update user documentation, FAQs, and support materials.
  • Monitor system performance and provide recommendations for improvements.
  • Assist in the deployment and configuration of new hardware and software.
  • Conduct training sessions for users on new technologies and best practices.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve support processes.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience in an IT support role, preferably in a remote environment.
  • Strong understanding of operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) and common software applications.
  • Familiarity with networking concepts and troubleshooting.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.

Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT support or a related field.
  • Experience with remote desktop applications and help desk software is preferred.
  • Prior experience in a customer-facing role is a plus.

Working Hours

  • Flexible working hours to accommodate various time zones, with core hours of 10 AM to 4 PM (your local time).
  • Availability to handle urgent support requests outside of regular hours when necessary.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Proficient in troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
  • Strong understanding of IT support processes and best practices.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and practices.
  • Familiarity with cloud services and platforms is an advantage.
