Job Summary
Fresher Jobs is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Part-Time Faculty member to join our Computer Science department. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about teaching and mentoring students in the dynamic field of computer science. As a part-time faculty member, you will deliver high-quality instruction, support student learning, and contribute to the academic community. You will be responsible for creating an engaging learning environment that fosters student success and encourages critical thinking.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver course materials for undergraduate courses in Computer Science, including but not limited to programming, algorithms, data structures, and software engineering.
- Prepare and grade assignments, projects, and examinations, providing constructive feedback to students.
- Hold regular office hours to support students in their academic pursuits and address any questions or concerns.
- Collaborate with full-time faculty and staff to enhance curriculum development and ensure alignment with academic standards.
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in technology to provide relevant and up-to-date instruction.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of the Computer Science program.
- Foster a positive learning environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Masters degree in Computer Science or a related field; Ph.D. preferred.
- Proven experience in teaching at the collegiate level, preferably in a part-time capacity.
- Strong knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++.
- Familiarity with software development methodologies and tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in teaching or relevant industry experience in computer science.
- Experience in curriculum design and course development is a plus.
Working Hours
- Part-time hours, typically consisting of 2-3 classes per week, with flexibility in scheduling to accommodate your availability.
- Additional hours may be required for student support and administrative tasks.
