Key Responsibilities
- Receiving and Processing Shipments: Unload trucks, check in merchandise, and ensure items are in good condition.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records through systematic tracking and reporting, ensuring stock levels meet operational needs.
- Order Fulfillment: Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment, adhering to quality standards and deadlines.
- Warehouse Maintenance: Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and safe, adhering to safety regulations and procedures.
- Equipment Operation: Safely operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, and assist with routine maintenance checks.
- Collaboration: Work closely with team members and other departments to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in warehousing or logistics are a plus.
- Proven experience in a warehouse or distribution center is preferred.
- Basic computer skills for inventory management systems and record-keeping.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to lift heavy items and perform physical tasks.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
Experience
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a warehouse or related field is preferred.
- Experience with inventory management software is a plus.
Working Hours
- Full-time position; standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with the possibility of overtime based on operational needs.
