Job Summary
CISCO is seeking a dedicated and skilled Voice Engineer to join our dynamic team in a remote capacity. This position is primarily focused on supporting our voice communication systems and ensuring optimal performance for our clients. As a Voice Engineer, you will leverage your expertise in Cisco voice technologies to manage, maintain, and troubleshoot voice systems, contributing to seamless communication across the organization. This role requires a commitment to working night shifts, catering to our global clientele and supporting their needs during off-peak hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain Cisco voice solutions, including VoIP and Unified Communications.
- Monitor voice network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure minimal downtime and high availability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate voice solutions with other IT services.
- Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 support for voice-related incidents and service requests.
- Conduct regular system audits and performance assessments, implementing improvements as necessary.
- Maintain documentation of voice systems configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies related to voice communications.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Cisco certifications (e.g., CCNA Voice, CCNP Voice) are highly desirable.
- Proven experience in implementing and supporting Cisco voice technologies.
- Proficiency in IP telephony, voice gateways, and collaboration tools.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to resolve complex technical issues.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with clients and team members.
Experience
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in voice engineering or related roles.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM), Cisco Unity, and related products.
- Experience with call center technologies and solutions is a plus.
Working Hours
This position requires night shift availability to accommodate global client needs. Shifts will typically run from 10 PM to 6 AM (local time), with flexibility as required based on project demands.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- In-depth understanding of VoIP protocols (SIP, H.323, MGCP) and network design principles.
- Familiarity with network security practices related to voice systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
