Job Summary
As a Shopper Team Member at Amazon Warehouse, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our customers receive their orders accurately and efficiently. Key Responsibilities
- Accurately pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and handheld scanners to efficiently process orders.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and improve efficiency in the picking and packing process.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and report discrepancies to management.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote a safe working environment.
- Assist in training new team members and share best practices to enhance team performance.
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures to ensure the wellbeing of yourself and your colleagues.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and fulfillment processes.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently when needed.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with handheld devices.
Experience
- Previous experience in a warehouse, retail, or logistics environment is preferred but not mandatory.
- Experience with order fulfillment or inventory management is a plus.
Working Hours
- Full-time and part-time positions available, including flexible shifts to accommodate various schedules.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical activities such as bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in a warehouse environment.
