Key Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move products throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload shipments with precision and care, ensuring accurate inventory counts.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on forklifts and other equipment to ensure safe operation.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and enhance productivity.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Assist in inventory management tasks, including stock checks and organization of goods.
- Report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions to the supervisor promptly.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Valid forklift operator certification and a minimum of 1 year of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling inventory.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions effectively.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Basic computer skills for inventory management systems.
- Physically capable of lifting heavy loads and working in a fast-paced environment.
Experience
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or distribution environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control practices is a plus.
Working Hours
- Full-time positions available with flexible shifts, including day, night, and weekend options to accommodate varying schedules.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Comprehensive understanding of safety protocols and procedures related to forklift operation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet.
- Knowledge of warehouse layout and product flow is advantageous.
