Job Summary
Fresher Jobs is seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Remote Medical Transcriptionist / Medical Scribe to join our growing team. Key Responsibilities
- Transcribe audio recordings from healthcare professionals into accurate written documents.
- Document patient histories, physical examinations, and treatment plans with precision.
- Ensure all medical documentation meets legal and ethical standards and adheres to HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare staff to clarify and complete medical records.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive patient information at all times.
- Stay updated with medical terminology, coding, and documentation practices.
- Perform quality checks on completed documents to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and data entry.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; associates or bachelors degree in a related field preferred.
- Completion of a medical transcription or scribe training program is highly desirable.
- Proficient in medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Exceptional listening and typing skills with a minimum typing speed of 60 words per minute.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Familiarity with EHR systems and transcription software is an advantage.
Experience
- Previous experience as a medical transcriptionist or medical scribe is preferred but not mandatory.
- Experience in a healthcare setting is a plus, demonstrating understanding of medical workflows.
