Job Summary

Fresher Jobs is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Medical Transcriptionist/Medical Coder to join our dynamic team. This position is essential for converting audio recordings from healthcare providers into written documents and ensuring accurate coding for patient records. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong communication skills, and a passion for maintaining high standards in healthcare documentation. You will play a vital role in enhancing the efficiency and quality of our medical documentation processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately transcribe medical dictations from physicians and other healthcare providers into written reports, ensuring the integrity of the information.
• Assign appropriate medical codes to diagnoses and procedures according to the latest coding standards (ICD, CPT, HCPCS).
• Review and edit transcripts for accuracy, grammar, and clarity.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations while handling sensitive patient information.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to clarify dictations and resolve discrepancies in documentation.
• Stay updated on the latest industry trends, coding updates, and transcription technologies to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Participate in quality assurance activities and contribute to process improvements.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Certification in Medical Transcription (CMT) or Medical Coding (CPC, CCS) is preferred.
• Proficiency in medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
• Strong understanding of coding guidelines and regulations.
• Excellent typing skills with a minimum of 60 words per minute.
• Familiarity with transcription software and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Experience

• Previous experience in medical transcription and/or medical coding is highly desirable.
• Experience with EHR systems and coding software is a plus.
• Fresh graduates with relevant certifications are also encouraged to apply.

Working Hours

• Full-time position: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
• Flexible work-from-home options may be available.
