Job Summary
Fresher Jobs is seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Remote Medical Transcriptionist to join our team. Key Responsibilities
- Listen to and transcribe audio recordings from medical professionals, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
- Edit and proofread transcriptions for grammatical, typographical, and formatting errors.
- Familiarize yourself with various medical terminologies, procedures, and specialties.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations while handling sensitive patient information.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify any discrepancies or obtain additional information as needed.
- Organize and file completed transcriptions in accordance with company protocols.
- Continuously update knowledge on industry standards and transcription software.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Proven experience as a medical transcriptionist or in a related field is preferred.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and anatomy.
- Proficient in using transcription software and tools.
- Exceptional listening skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent command of the English language, including grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.
Experience
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in medical transcription or a similar role is preferred.
- Certification in medical transcription (e.g., AHDIs RMT or CMT) is a plus but not required.
Working Hours
- Flexible working hours to accommodate individual schedules.
- Full-time and part-time positions available, with an expectation to meet project deadlines.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong typing skills with a minimum speed of 60 words per minute.
