Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:
- Medical Billing: Accurately generate and submit medical claims to insurance companies, ensuring that all claims comply with billing guidelines and regulations.
- Coding: Review medical records and apply appropriate ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes for diagnoses, procedures, and treatments.
- Revenue Cycle Management: Manage the entire revenue cycle process from patient registration, insurance verification, coding, billing, and collections to ensure the timely and accurate reimbursement of healthcare services.
- Claims Follow-Up: Track and follow up on unpaid claims, resolving denials and rejections by communicating with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and patients.
- Patient Communication: Provide assistance to patients regarding their medical bills, insurance coverage, and payment options.
- Documentation and Compliance: Maintain accurate records of all billing and coding processes in accordance with HIPAA and other relevant healthcare regulations.
- Reporting: Prepare reports on billing and coding performance, identifying areas for improvement and ensuring the revenue cycle is optimized.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience in medical billing, coding, and revenue cycle management.
- In-depth knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.
- Familiarity with healthcare regulations, such as HIPAA and insurance requirements.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and coding.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in billing software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage deadlines effectively.
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in medical billing, coding, and revenue cycle management.
- Experience in handling healthcare claims and insurance reimbursements.
- Certification in Medical Billing and Coding (such as CPC, CCS, or similar) is preferred.
- Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) and Practice Management Systems (PMS) is a plus.
Working Hours:
- This is a full-time remote position.
- Working hours are flexible but should align with standard business hours (9:00 AM – 6:00 PM IST), with occasional overtime during peak periods.
