Warehouse Clerk

Job Summary

Amazon is seeking organized, detail-oriented, and motivated individuals to join our fast-paced fulfillment and logistics operations as Warehouse Clerks. In this critical support role, you will help ensure the smooth movement of goods throughout our supply chain, contributing to Amazons commitment to fast and reliable customer delivery. The Warehouse Clerk is responsible for maintaining accurate records, monitoring inventory, coordinating with teams, and supporting warehouse operations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform data entry to update inventory and shipping/receiving logs.

  • Coordinate incoming and outgoing shipments.

  • Assist with order processing, labeling, and packaging of products.

  • Verify accuracy of received shipments and inspect for damage.

  • Manage and organize storage locations and maintain cleanliness.

  • Prepare documentation for shipping, returns, and internal transfers.

  • Collaborate with warehouse associates, delivery teams, and management.

  • Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory.

  • Support cycle counts and physical inventory audits.

  • Follow all safety protocols and participate in safety training.


Required Skills and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.

  • Proficient computer and data entry skills.

  • Ability to operate scanners, printers, and basic office equipment.

  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.

  • Strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.

  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.


Experience

  • 1+ year of experience in a warehouse, logistics, shipping/receiving, or clerical role preferred.

  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is an advantage.

  • Prior experience in a high-volume environment is a plus.


Working Hours

  • Flexible shifts available: day, night, weekend, and seasonal shifts.

  • Overtime opportunities during peak seasons.

  • Must be willing to work on-site at the assigned fulfillment center.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of inventory control practices.

  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities effectively.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Physical ability to lift up to 49 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.

  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a warehouse environment.
