Key Responsibilities:

Listen to and accurately transcribe audio recordings from physicians, surgeons, and medical staff into clear and formatted reports

Review and edit transcriptions for grammar, clarity, consistency, and medical accuracy

Interpret and type medical terminologies including patient histories, discharge summaries, operative reports, lab reports, and radiology notes

Ensure timely delivery of transcripts in accordance with assigned deadlines

Flag inconsistencies or unclear medical dictation and seek clarification when required

Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and hospital data privacy standards

Collaborate with medical professionals and documentation teams to ensure quality and accuracy of reports

Stay updated with changes in medical terminology, technology, and documentation practices
Required Skills and Qualifications:

Diploma or certification in Medical Transcription from a recognized institute (mandatory for freshers)

Strong command of English grammar, punctuation, and spelling

Excellent typing speed (minimum 40–50 WPM) with a high degree of accuracy

Good listening skills and ability to understand diverse accents

Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and basic medical terminology

Familiarity with transcription software, EMR systems, and MS Office applications
Experience:

Freshers with relevant certification are welcome

0–2 years of experience in a hospital, diagnostic lab, or medical transcription agency will be an added advantage
Working Hours:

Monday to Saturday

Typical shift: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (day shift or rotational shift based on employer)
