Senior Data Platform Administrator – Finance AI & Data Science

Join NVIDIA’s Finance AI and Data Science team as a Senior Data Platform Administrator, where you’ll work at the cutting edge of data engineering, AI, and enterprise finance. In this role, you’ll collaborate with data scientists, engineers, finance experts, and IT teams to enable secure, efficient, and scalable data systems powering financial reporting, business intelligence, machine learning, and AI.
What You’ll Be Doing:
* Optimize and secure our Databricks environment, including access control and security protocols.
* Work cross-functionally with technical and business teams to integrate the finance data platform into NVIDIA’s broader systems and architecture.
* Administer and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS and Azure.
* Support AI developers in containerizing, deploying, and managing AI solutions and Kubernetes clusters.
* Establish and manage backup and recovery procedures for critical data systems.
* Develop and maintain comprehensive system documentation for architecture, operations, and best practices.
* Proactively monitor for security vulnerabilities, performance bottlenecks, and opportunities for cost optimization.
* Partner with data architects, engineers, and finance professionals to build next-generation data systems for the AI era.
What We Need to See:
* 8+ years of experience in data platform/system administration.
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field. A technical degree combined with a finance/business background is a plus.
* Strong skills in PySpark, SparkSQL, and Linux shell scripting.
* Hands-on experience with data engineering concepts, particularly working with Delta Lake, Parquet, and formats like JSON, XML, CSV, Avro.
* Familiarity with access control methodologies (DAC, RBAC, UBAC) and expertise in network security and data encryption.
* Excellent communication skills to translate technical concepts across diverse audiences.

* Certifications and real-world experience with Databricks, AWS, and Azure.
* Deep understanding of data compliance standards, including handling of PII and ITGC/SOX controls.
* Proven ability to design and evolve security monitoring frameworks and respond effectively to incidents.
