Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide first-level technical support for hardware, software, and network-related issues.

  • Respond to IT service requests and incidents via email, chat, or ticketing systems.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems efficiently while maintaining high-quality service standards.

  • Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, software applications, and peripheral devices.

  • Assist in system monitoring, backups, and maintaining IT documentation.

  • Escalate unresolved issues to senior IT teams as per the escalation matrix.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support IT projects and initiatives.

  • Ensure compliance with Cognizant’s IT policies, standards, and security protocols.


Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or related fields.

  • Basic knowledge of operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) and common software applications.

  • Understanding of networking fundamentals, IT troubleshooting, and hardware maintenance.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English.

  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

  • Quick learner with an eagerness to develop technical skills.


Experience:

  • Freshers from 2023, 2024, or 2025 batches are eligible.

  • Internship or project experience in IT support, technical assistance, or related fields is a plus but not mandatory.


Working Hours:

  • Full-time role, typically 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM, Monday to Friday.

  • Flexibility may be required based on IT support schedules, critical incidents, or project timelines.

  • Work location may be on-site, hybrid, or remote, depending on project allocation and company policy.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proficiency in basic IT troubleshooting and problem resolution.

  • Familiarity with ticketing systems and IT service management tools.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
