Deloitte is seeking motivated and analytical fresh graduates for the Junior Data Engineer role within its Data Science Division. This position provides a unique opportunity to work on data-driven projects, supporting the design, development, and maintenance of scalable data pipelines and analytics solutions. The role focuses on transforming raw data into actionable insights, enabling data scientists and business teams to make informed decisions. Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain efficient, reliable, and scalable data pipelines.

  • Extract, transform, and load (ETL) structured and unstructured data from multiple sources.

  • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements.

  • Perform data quality checks and implement data cleansing processes.

  • Assist in building and optimizing data storage solutions such as databases, data warehouses, and data lakes.

  • Support the deployment and monitoring of data solutions in cloud or on-premise environments.

  • Document processes, workflows, and technical specifications for internal reference.

  • Stay updated on emerging data engineering tools, frameworks, and technologies.


Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, or related field.

  • Basic programming skills in Python, Java, or Scala.

  • Familiarity with SQL and database management systems.

  • Understanding of data pipelines, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts.

  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and logical reasoning abilities.

  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English.

  • Ability to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment and manage multiple tasks efficiently.


Experience:

  • Fresh graduates (2023–2025 batch) are eligible.

  • Internships, academic projects, or certifications in data engineering, cloud computing, or big data technologies are advantageous but not mandatory.


Working Hours:

  • Full-time position with standard working hours (typically 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM, Monday to Friday).

  • Flexibility may be required depending on project deadlines and client requirements.

  • Work may involve a hybrid model combining on-site and remote tasks based on Deloitte policies.

  • Ability to handle, process, and analyze large datasets efficiently.

  • Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL frameworks, and database design.
