Principal Product Manager — Games, Social Platform

As part of our growing Games initiative, we’re looking for a Principal Product Manager – Games, Social Platform to lead the strategy and development of social features that connect our members through gameplay. This is a senior-level, cross-functional role that blends strategic thinking, technical insight, and product leadership to create multiplayer, co-op, sharing, chat, and other social experiences that bring joy to our members.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the Social Platform Strategy: Define and drive the roadmap for social features across Netflix Games, including multiplayer systems, communication tools, and content sharing.
- Empower Game Developers: Build and evolve tools, APIs, and backend systems that enable first- and third-party studios to integrate social experiences into their games.
- Create Cohesive In-App Social Features: Guide how social features appear across Netflix apps, ensuring a seamless and engaging member experience.
- Leverage Research & Data: Use consumer insights, partner interviews, and testing to shape product direction and validate new ideas.
- Align Stakeholders: Build consensus across Product, Engineering, Games Studios, and Platform teams on the right social experiences to prioritize and where they should live.
- Drive Execution: Work closely with engineering to ship scalable, reliable, and secure social infrastructure that enhances gameplay and community.
- Define Member Experience: Lead cross-functional teams to deliver a consistent, joyful, and safe social experience across all Netflix Games.
- Foster External Partnerships: Identify strategic opportunities with external partners to accelerate our social offerings.
- Manage Risk: Collaborate with Trust & Safety, Legal, and Support to assess and mitigate risks related to user-generated content and communication.

Preferred Qualifications
- Strong technical background or equivalent experience working with engineering on infrastructure/platform products
- Track record of delivering innovative, high-scale social features in games
- Experience navigating platform-level challenges (e.g., moderation, identity, safety, and interoperability)
- Familiarity with cloud-based systems, multiplayer architecture, or game engine integrations
