Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced Principal UX Engineer (Product Designer) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with senior designers, researchers, developers, and product managers to craft modern, interoperable SaaS solutions grounded in human-centered design principles. You will drive innovative user experiences by leveraging research insights, design best practices, and emerging technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver functional prototypes, high-fidelity mockups, and detailed specifications that clearly communicate intended user interactions and behaviors.
- Partner with UX Leads, Product Managers, and Development Managers to define, prioritize, and execute design initiatives.
- Integrate research insights and concept testing outcomes to guide design decisions.
- Execute design work across multiple projects to address UX, technical, and business objectives.
- Champion user-centered design practices, including accessibility and inclusive design principles.
- Contribute to and maintain design pattern libraries and interface guidelines to ensure consistency and scalability.
- Conduct constructive critiques of in-progress designs, assessing solution effectiveness and prioritization.
- Adhere to company policies, employment agreements, and organizational directives, including flexibility in team assignments, work locations, and alternative work arrangements as required.
Required Qualifications:
- 10+ years of UX design experience, including wireframing, prototyping, and delivering high-quality user experience solutions.
- Deep expertise in mature user-centered design and research methodologies, with a focus on simplicity, elegance, and minimalism.
- Proven experience conducting user research and concept testing with real users.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating UX project deliverables, including work with AI/ML or emerging technologies.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex concepts to diverse audiences, including executive leadership.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Psychology, Information Architecture, Communications, Computer Science, or related fields.
- Experience designing enterprise software, B2B applications, or large-scale employee-facing systems, particularly in medical, healthcare, or financial domains.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities concurrently.
- Familiarity with UX analytics, metrics, and measurement techniques.
- Advanced proficiency with Figma, generative design tools, LLMs, and computational design methodologies.
- Active involvement in the UX community, including associations, conferences, or professional meet-ups.
