This placement offers hands-on exposure to production control, supply chain coordination, and performance reporting — all vital in keeping programmes on track and manufacturing operations running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
Production Control & Scheduling
- Manage production orders and prioritise workloads to align with shop floor capacity.
- Ensure seamless coordination between engineering demand and manufacturing capability.
Supply Chain Management
- Monitor material availability, manage lead times, and coordinate with subcontractors to meet production requirements.
- Support procurement planning to avoid disruptions in supply.
Reporting & Data Management
- Utilise Excel to schedule tasks, track progress, and provide accurate updates to stakeholders.
- Maintain inventory records and production data within the ERP system (SAP).
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Programme Management, and Procurement to ensure integrated workflow across departments.

- Confident communicator, able to build effective relationships across teams.
- Resilient and adaptable, maintaining high standards under pressure.
- Comfortable with Excel; prior experience with SAP is a plus but not essential.
- A genuine interest in production control, scheduling, and supply chain operations.
- Currently working towards a 2:1 or above in a relevant degree discipline.
