Role Overview

In this role, you will play a key part in enhancing the performance and effectiveness of the team and supporting cross-functional administrative operations within Commercial Banking Portfolio Management. You will provide analytical, operational, and leadership support to ensure high-quality credit management, process improvement, and team development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the teams overall performance, efficiency, and operational effectiveness across Commercial Banking Portfolio Management.
  • Review and analyze credit information and loan data for companies and industries, ensuring compliance with internal standards.
  • Provide feedback and propose process or tool enhancements to improve workflow efficiency.
  • Respond to customer and internal inquiries; generate and present reports and dashboards for management and relationship managers.
  • Lead or guide others in complex tasks or initiatives requiring analytical judgment, planning, and interpretation.
  • Prioritize work independently while providing day-to-day guidance, mentorship, and quality oversight for junior team members.
  • Contribute to or lead the implementation of new or updated procedures and processes.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert, offering guidance on a wide range of portfolio management topics to both peers and leadership.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 6+ years of experience in Commercial Banking Portfolio Management, or equivalent experience gained through a combination of work, education, training, or military service.

Desired Qualifications

  • Strong ability to analyze real estate–related documents such as appraisals and lease agreements.
  • Experience supporting credit approval processes and conducting complex credit investigations across diverse industries.
  • Proven ability to apply procedures effectively and guide less experienced team members.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and review company processes for credit decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply reviewer feedback and continuously improve quality of work.
  • Skilled in performing quality checks on junior team members deliverables and providing constructive feedback.
  • Capable of delivering accurate, high-quality outputs within established deadlines.
  • Proactive in identifying and escalating issues or complaints promptly.
  • Experience supporting managers in preparing performance reports, dashboards, and other management reports (daily/weekly/monthly).
  • Ability to design and deliver training programs, learning materials, and development plans for team members.
  • Maintain and update process documentation and Professional Development Plans (PDPs) to ensure accuracy and alignment with business objectives.
