What You will Do
As a Platform Engineer at Bolt, you will design, scale, and evolve the infrastructure that powers our products and developer experience. You will work across Kubernetes, cloud networking, CI/CD, and observability to create a robust and secure foundation that enables our engineers to move faster with confidence.
Youwill be responsible for:
- Designing and evolving Bolts Kubernetes-based platform and GitOps infrastructure
- Driving developer experience improvements across CI/CD, secrets management, and observability
- Implementing secure, scalable systems for networking, identity, and service-to-service communication
- Building shared platform tooling that’s resilient, maintainable, and easy for teams to adopt
- Supporting key compliance efforts such as PCI-DSS and SOC2
- Partnering with software engineers to enhance incident response, SLOs, and reliability metrics
- Collaborating cross-functionally to accelerate product velocity and reduce cognitive load
- Mentoring engineers on infrastructure design, reliability, and security best practices
- Leading cross-organizational platform initiatives with clear communication and strong ownership
- Documenting and evangelizing platform standards, patterns, and best practices
What Sets You Up for Success
- 8+ years of experience in infrastructure or platform engineering roles
- Deep expertise in Kubernetes, Helm, and infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform)
- Strong software engineering skills — ideally in Go or Python
- Experience building CI/CD pipelines and improving developer workflows
- Solid understanding of cloud networking, service mesh, and zero-trust design patterns
- Hands-on experience with observability tools (e.g., Datadog) and setting SLOs
- Proven ability to lead architectural design and cross-team technical initiatives
- A track record of mentoring senior engineers and driving infrastructure maturity
