Job Responsibilities

1. Regulatory Interpretation & Compliance System Design

  • Interpret technical specifications such as EU Authority COP management requirements, UNECE regulations, EU Regulation 2018/858, and Market Surveillance regulations.

  • Accurately identify compliance requirements for manufacturers.

  • Analyze the relationship between regulatory requirements and customer business scenarios (R&D, production, supply chain) and design feasible technical management implementation plans.

2. Client Engagement & Value Creation

  • Identify business pain points during client communications and provide value-added service recommendations to improve efficiency, such as process optimization and cost reduction initiatives.

  • Participate in technical negotiations with key accounts, balancing compliance requirements with customers’ business goals.

3. System Development & Process Documentation

  • Develop customized gap analysis plans, propose improvement roadmaps, and provide implementation guidance.

  • Design and deliver specialized training programs to enhance client team capabilities.

  • Lead the establishment of manufacturers’ COP program management and control plans, including setting key control points, managing evidence chains, and dynamically adjusting control mechanisms.

  • Design quality management system frameworks to ensure coverage of key EU requirements such as VIN traceability, product consistency, complaints, recalls, and market surveillance response mechanisms.

  • Develop and compile system and process documentation, including product certification management procedures, non-conforming product handling procedures, and complaint management processes.

4. Additional Responsibilities

Perform other tasks assigned by the line manager.

III. Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Automotive Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, or a related field.

  • At least 5 years of experience in automotive compliance management systems, with practical experience in developing or optimizing EU Whole Vehicle Type Approval (WVTA) or COP systems; experience in automotive process consulting or methodology advisory is a plus.

  • Proven participation in establishing ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 systems and familiarity with the VDA 6.3 process audit standard.

  • Strong understanding of EU Regulation 2018/858 and UN R series regulations and their practical applications.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work effectively with global virtual teams.

  • Strong oral and written English communication skills.
