Tripoto, one of India’s leading travel and content platforms, is looking for a talented and self-driven Virtual Python Developer (Freelance/Part-Time) to join our tech-savvy and creative team. In this role, you will develop, optimize, and maintain scalable backend systems that support our growing digital platform, enabling seamless experiences for millions of travelers worldwide.

The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of Python programming, web frameworks, and data structures, combined with a problem-solving mindset. Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Python code.

  • Collaborate with front-end developers and product managers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.

  • Develop RESTful APIs and ensure their optimal performance, security, and scalability.

  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices.

  • Debug, troubleshoot, and upgrade existing applications.

  • Manage and manipulate databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.) efficiently.

  • Work closely with the QA team to identify and resolve software defects.

  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous process improvement.

  • Implement automation scripts and streamline development workflows when necessary.

  • Stay updated with emerging technologies and contribute innovative ideas to enhance the product ecosystem.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

  • Strong proficiency in Python and its frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI.

  • Experience in developing and consuming RESTful APIs.

  • Solid understanding of object-oriented programming and data structures.

  • Familiarity with relational and non-relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).

  • Hands-on experience with Git or other version control systems.

  • Strong debugging, testing, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Understanding of web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a plus.

  • Good communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote setup.

Experience:

  • 0–3 years of experience as a Python Developer or in a related software development role.

  • Fresh graduates with demonstrable coding skills or project portfolios are also encouraged to apply.

  • Experience with freelance or remote development projects will be an advantage.

Working Hours:

  • Freelance / Part-Time Remote Role – Work from anywhere.

  • Flexible schedule: 15–25 hours per week, depending on project needs.

  • Occasional virtual meetings with the development and product teams for updates and collaboration.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong analytical and logical thinking skills.

  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively under minimal supervision.

  • Familiarity with API integration, cloud deployment (AWS/GCP), and Docker is a plus.

  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to evolving project requirements.

  • A strong sense of accountability, reliability, and teamwork in a distributed environment.
