Job Purpose:
The Process & Quality Engineer will design, implement, and optimize maintenance and workshop processes to enhance safety, compliance, and operational efficiency. This role ensures that maintenance workflows meet regulatory requirements and company standards while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and document maintenance and workshop processes in line with aviation regulations and company policies.
- Analyze existing workflows to identify inefficiencies, safety risks, and compliance gaps.
- Collaborate with maintenance and production planning teams to implement process improvements that enhance productivity and safety.
- Initiate and manage projects based on recommendations, staff feedback, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Monitor process performance using key metrics and report on results.
- Lead training and awareness programs to ensure team adherence to updated procedures.
- Support audits and inspections by providing process documentation and evidence of compliance.
- Work closely with Quality Assurance engineers to integrate quality standards into maintenance processes.
- Evaluate maintenance timelines, resource plans, and operational risks to support efficient planning.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aeronautical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Knowledge of aviation quality standards and regulations (EASA, GCAA) preferred.
- Experience with auditing, inspections, and root cause analysis is desirable.
- Proficient in data interpretation, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of interacting across departments and management levels.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and resolve planning conflicts or compliance issues.
- Awareness of human factors in aircraft maintenance activities.
- Physically fit to work in various operational conditions, including confined spaces and outdoor environments.
- Understanding of base maintenance operations, hangar workflows, and heavy check coordination.
