Key Responsibilities:
Maintenance Oversight & Technical Support:
- Identify, assess, report, and monitor technical defects on the fleet; ensure all AMP tasks are executed timely and efficiently.
- Support Engineering Planning, Development, STP, and QA teams in both short- and long-term fleet maintenance planning.
- Prioritize and allocate work packages across teams, monitoring timeliness and efficiency of task execution.
- Proactively implement corrective and preventive measures to maintain fleet airworthiness and prevent operational delays.
- Provide technical guidance to Line, Base, Outstation maintenance staff, and MROs, ensuring compliance with GCAA/CAA regulations, Air Arabia quality standards, and Manufacturer Manuals.
- Deliver technical support to pilots and cabin crew during flight and on-ground operations; respond flexibly to schedule changes.
Documentation & Reporting:
- Ensure accurate documentation of maintenance tasks and logbook entries; guide pilots and cabin crew on proper recording procedures.
- Assist MCC Manager and stakeholders in monitoring daily technical performance, data, and incidents; communicate relevant information promptly.
- Prepare reports on technical performance trends, recommend corrective actions, and support internal/external audits.
Training & Development:
- Support technical training initiatives, ensuring compliance with licensing and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct technical training, coaching, mentoring, and assessments for Air Arabia and third-party certifying engineers and technicians across various programs (Initial, Recurrent, ETOPS, Human Factors, Transit, etc.).
Emergency & Network Support:
- Handle emergency maintenance situations across the network; provide solutions using available resources.
- Manage AOG situations and aircraft grounding per procedures; lead post-incident briefings and knowledge-sharing sessions.
- Maintain effective communication with service providers, suppliers, and MROs; provide feedback to MCC Manager on performance and service quality.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Aircraft Engineering/Aeronautical Engineering or equivalent; diploma with relevant experience acceptable.
- Holds or has held a type-rating maintenance release license; additional aircraft type ratings advantageous.
- Maintenance Engineer (AME) license from an ICAO state preferred.
- Membership in professional aviation/airline associations is a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other technology systems; fluent in English.
Experience:
- 8+ years in aviation engineering maintenance, with at least 3 years in a Maintenance Control Center role and 2 years in team leadership.
- Direct experience with Civil Aviation Authorities, preferably GCAA, including familiarity with rules, regulations, manuals, and licensing requirements.
- Knowledge of airline operations, flight operations procedures, and crew interactions.
- Exposure to Quality Assurance, Safety, and Audit processes affecting maintenance operations.
- Proven ability to implement maintenance policies and procedures in line with regulations and business needs.
