THE ROLE

AMD is seeking an Analog Design Engineer to join our team developing cutting-edge analog and mixed-signal technologies for compute, graphics, and gaming products. In this role, you will contribute to advanced circuit architectures and work closely with cross-functional engineering teams in a highly collaborative environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with senior engineers on analog architecture development and circuit specifications

  • Design and simulate transistor-level analog circuits in advanced process nodes

  • Participate in design reviews and maintain detailed technical documentation

  • Support system-level verification of analog and mixed-signal designs

  • Oversee custom layout activities and contribute to silicon bring-up and validation

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

  • Hands-on experience with analog IC design

  • Familiarity with deep submicron CMOS technologies (FinFET experience preferred)

  • Academic or practical exposure to analog IC design principles

  • Experience with analog and mixed-signal circuits such as:

    • Bandgap references, biasing circuits, comparators, oscillators

    • SAR ADC, ΔΣ ADC, DAC, PLL, filters, LDOs, amplifiers

    • Buck and boost converters

  • Solid understanding of feedback systems and analog fundamentals including mismatch, linearity, and stability

  • Experience using laboratory equipment for debugging and validation

  • Basic working knowledge of MATLAB, Verilog, and/or Python

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
