KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Build, test, debug, repair, and upgrade computer and server prototypes, peripherals, and firmware/software

Perform precise hand soldering on circuit boards and electronic components
-
Assist engineers in the evaluation, design, and testing of new electronic components
-
Document prototype builds and maintain accurate engineering records
-
Write and maintain technical procedures and documentation
-
Manage laboratory operations to ensure a clean, organized, and efficient workspace
-
Track, inventory, and ship materials as part of materials management
-
Apply analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
-
Experience in engineering testing, debugging, technical support, or a related role
-
Background in computer hardware environments preferred

Fundamental understanding of computer architecture and components (CPU, memory, power supplies, GPUs, storage, etc.)

Strong soldering skills and knowledge of circuit boards and electronics
-
Ability to diagnose system failures and isolate root causes at the component level
-
Experience using Linux and Windows-based diagnostic and benchmarking tools
-
Understanding of hardware-software interactions and their impact on system performance

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across organizational levels

Proven analytical thinking and structured problem-solving abilities

Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Strong lab management and organizational skills
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS
-
Associate’s degree or higher in Electronics, or
-
Certificate of Completion from a Technical School, or
-
Equivalent combination of education and relevant hands-on experience
