About the Role:
Join AMD’s Cores Organization, a team driving the design of industry-leading CPUs powering servers, clients, gaming, and AI systems. We are looking for an entry-level engineer with a background in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field to help define and implement pre-silicon design metrics, dashboards, and reports that track engineering progress across global teams. Your work will directly impact the next generation of AMD CPU cores.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track CPU design progress.
- Analyze engineering data and business processes to enhance efficiency and quality.
- Collaborate with program managers and engineering leaders to gather requirements and support project evaluation.
- Identify gaps and propose creative, data-driven solutions to improve operational rigor.
- Support cross-functional teams in maintaining high standards for project tracking and reporting.
Preferred Experience & Skills:
- Experience with large datasets, database management, and data analysis.
- Proficiency in tools such as Power BI, SQL, Excel, or similar data processing tools.
- Familiarity with scripting or programming languages (Python, Perl, C, Tcl).
- Understanding of VLSI design concepts and basic computer architecture.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for collaborating with diverse teams.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
