About the Role
The Product Security team is responsible for making Ramp the safest place for our customers to collect, manage, and use their business financial data.
Our work focuses on three core areas:
- Building secure products by design — embedding security into everything we ship
- Proactive threat detection and response — identifying and stopping issues before they cause harm
- Enabling growth through security — using strong security as a foundation for scaling Ramp
What You’ll Do
- Build and maintain security-focused application primitives and integrate them into Ramp’s products
- Design and deploy platform-level protections to mitigate common security risks
- Lead remediation efforts for high-priority security issues across the stack, collaborating with engineers to triage and resolve vulnerabilities identified through internal reviews, penetration testing, and our bug bounty program
- Partner with engineering teams to design and ship systems that are secure by default
- Advocate for and scale the use of security tooling (linters, static analysis, posture scanners, query inspection tools, and more) to help engineers build secure systems efficiently
What You’ll Need
- 5+ years of experience building production software
- 2+ years of experience in platform, infrastructure, and/or security engineering
- A strong desire to work in a fast-paced environment, continuously learn, and deepen your technical expertise
- Ability to translate business and product requirements into practical engineering solutions
- Alignment with Ramp’s mission to help businesses grow more by spending less
Nice to Have
- Experience with Python (Flask), Elixir, and AWS (including ECS and other core services)
- Experience assessing and improving the security posture of AWS-based infrastructure
