About the Role

As a Material Science / Materials Engineer, you will apply your knowledge of materials science and engineering to develop, evaluate, and advance materials critical to Honeywell’s products. Working at the intersection of research and engineering, you will help drive innovation, improve product performance, and support the development of next-generation technologies.

This role offers hands-on exposure to materials development, testing, and characterization while collaborating with cross-functional teams across R&D, product development, and manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development, testing, and evaluation of advanced materials to meet product performance and quality requirements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective integration of materials into products and manufacturing processes
  • Conduct research and analysis to identify new materials, processing methods, and emerging technologies
  • Perform materials testing and characterization to validate performance, reliability, and compliance with standards
  • Partner with external suppliers, research institutions, and industry experts as needed
  • Stay current on advancements in materials science and recommend opportunities for application in future products

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Materials Engineering or a related field
  • Graduation date between August 2025 and May 2026, with availability to begin full-time work between September 2025 and July 2026
  • Degree must be obtained within 12 months of hire
  • Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or protected status under asylum or refugee status) due to export control regulations
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship
