Key Responsibilities
Plant Support
- Provide technical support to Niagara facilities nationwide.
- Assist plant maintenance and automation teams with repairs and troubleshooting.
- Diagnose and resolve complex electrical and automation issues on production equipment.
- Support production uptime and equipment reliability initiatives.
Automation Upgrades
- Perform root cause analysis for machine and system improvements.
- Implement automation upgrades to improve efficiency and reduce downtime.
- Research and recommend new technologies to increase output and reduce labor dependency.
Training & Development
- Train and mentor plant electrical and automation technicians.
- Share best practices and technical knowledge across facilities.
- Identify team training needs and communicate recommendations to management.
Qualifications
Required
- Associate’s Degree in Engineering or related field.
- 4+ years of experience in manufacturing, automation, or related technical environment.
- 4+ years of hands-on experience in a similar automation technician role.
- Strong troubleshooting experience with industrial electrical and control systems.
Technical Skills
- Allen-Bradley (AB) automation software
- Siemens automation systems
- B&R controls and troubleshooting
- Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio)
