Key Responsibilities
- Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and chat regarding their healthcare coverage, benefits, and other insurance-related matters.
- Provide accurate and timely information to resolve customer issues in a professional and empathetic manner.
- Document customer interactions, track inquiries, and follow up on outstanding cases to ensure resolution.
- Assist with claim status inquiries, policy updates, and eligibility verification.
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by addressing concerns promptly and effectively.
- Maintain knowledge of Aetnas products, policies, and procedures to accurately address customer needs.
- Collaborate with other departments as needed to resolve complex inquiries and ensure positive customer experiences.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; associates or bachelors degree is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage and inform customers effectively.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a remote work environment.
- Comfortable navigating computer systems, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic knowledge of healthcare systems, insurance, or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
Experience
- No previous experience required for entry-level candidates.
- Prior customer service experience or experience in healthcare-related fields is a plus but not mandatory.
- Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly.
Working Hours
- Full-time or part-time options available.
- Flexible work hours, with shifts available across multiple time zones.
- Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
