Key Responsibilities
- Safety and Security: Conduct pre-flight safety checks, ensure compliance with safety regulations, and deliver safety briefings to passengers.
- Customer Service: Greet passengers, assist with boarding, serve food and beverages, and address any passenger inquiries or concerns.
- Conflict Resolution: Manage and de-escalate difficult situations, providing solutions to ensure passenger comfort and satisfaction.
- Emergency Response: Be prepared to act decisively and efficiently in emergency situations, providing first aid and coordinating evacuation procedures if necessary.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with pilots and fellow crew members to ensure smooth flight operations and excellent service delivery.
- Cultural Sensitivity: Understand and respect diverse backgrounds, providing personalized service that meets individual passenger needs.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
- Valid Flight Attendant certification from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Proficiency in a second language is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Experience
- Previous customer service experience, preferably in the hospitality or travel industries.
- Experience in a team-oriented environment is advantageous.
- Prior experience as a flight attendant or in aviation is preferred but not mandatory.
Working Hours
- Flight Attendants are expected to work on a variable schedule, which may include early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays. Hours will vary based on flight schedules and operational needs.
