Role Purpose:
Support the finance team in various accounting and financial reporting activities to ensure accurate and timely financial management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with inventory adjustments and annual stock counts, ensuring compliance with established procedures.
  • Support daily banking activities and cash flow reporting.
  • Participate in month-end closing tasks, including balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, and preparing consolidated approval packs.
  • Manage fixed assets, including capitalization, disposals, and verification.
  • Handle accounts receivable processes such as raising sales orders, chasing overdue payments, and performing debt analysis.
  • Prepare monthly KPI reports and dashboards for the wider finance team.
  • Assist the Company Accountant in preparing documentation for external audits and conduct ad hoc financial analysis.

Skills & Experience:

  • Ability to work collaboratively and build strong, positive relationships across the business.

  • Experience working within a fast-paced team environment.

Knowledge & Qualifications:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • GCSE Mathematics and English Language at grade 5 or above.
  • Note: This role is not suitable for candidates currently pursuing higher education at university level.
