At Mercedes-AMG High Performance Powertrains, we are offering an exciting Level 4 IT Systems Apprenticeship, where you will study towards a Level 4 Applications Support Lead qualification. This is more than just an apprenticeship it is a chance to fuel your passion, push boundaries, and play an active role in our high-performance success story.

As part of our team, you will gain exposure to cutting-edge Motorsport and Advanced Technology projects, including vehicle electrification. You will work on challenges that stretch your creativity and technical skills, helping drive innovation both on the Formula 1 racetrack and the road.

What you will do:

  • Deliver exceptional customer service and technical support, troubleshooting hardware, networking, and security issues across the business.
  • Collaborate to improve systems and processes, reducing complexity and enhancing reliability.
  • Maintain the HPP IT infrastructure to ensure continuous system availability.
  • Implement system changes to improve security, performance, and capabilities, supporting excellent IT service delivery.

What we are looking for:

  • Strong problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Flexibility, teamwork, and the ability to meet targets and deadlines.
  • Dedication to learning, succeeding, and developing new skills.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and perform effectively under pressure.
  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English, grade 4 or above.
  • Passion for building and configuring IT systems and delivering effective solutions.

Knowledge & Experience desired:

  • Experience delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Familiarity with IT operational support or equivalent.
  • Ability to plan, organise, and deliver IT tasks within a team environment.
  • Understanding of IT system capacity, performance, and availability monitoring.
  • Awareness of IT security, vulnerability management, and malware prevention.
