About the Role
Cyient is seeking an experienced OSP Design Engineer – Quality Control Specialist to join our telecom engineering team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in OSP design and quality review across projects such as IQGEO, BAU, F1, and similar telecom initiatives.
In this role, you will review OSP design packages to ensure accuracy, compliance with state and local regulations, and alignment with customer design standards. You will also analyze field data, validate customer inputs, and ensure all design documentation meets project specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform quality assurance reviews on OSP engineering design packages prepared by other designers.
- Collaborate with senior designers to develop telecom engineering drawings, calculations, and equipment applications.
- Utilize engineering tools such as ARAMIS, MIC, and other relevant platforms.
- Review and analyze project drawings before setup and coordinate with technical and supervisory teams to evaluate project complexity and timelines.
- Maintain project documentation including drawing libraries, records, and design files in accordance with company standards.
- Prepare and finalize customer deliverable packages, ensuring all required documentation is complete and accurate.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience working on telecom design projects such as IQGEO, BAU, F1, or similar.
- 5+ years of experience in Outside Plant (OSP) Telecom Engineering.
- 3+ years of experience handling ROW (Right-of-Way) and permitting requirements.
- 1+ year of experience using ARAMIS and MIC tools.
