What You’ll Do

Keep Walmart’s fleet moving by inspecting, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of equipment—including trailers, tractors, yard trucks, and service vehicles.

Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues while following company guidelines and DOT standards to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations.

Manage your workflow by creating and processing work orders, selecting effective repair methods, and maintaining accurate digital and written service records.

Collaborate with team members, suppliers, and internal partners to coordinate repairs, communicate updates, and deliver high-quality service.

Perform hands-on repairs with precision and attention to detail, including brake system work, tire replacements, and seal installations.
Minimum Qualifications

Valid state-issued driver’s license.

Brake inspection qualification (per FMCSA Section 396.25).

Vehicle inspection qualification (per FMCSA Section 396.19).
Preferred Qualifications
-
2+ years of experience in trailer inspection and mechanical repair.

Coursework or certification in Heavy-Duty Truck/Trailer Maintenance from a college or technical school.

Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Brake Certification.

Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and valid Department of Transportation (DOT) driver certification.

At least 1 year of experience using computer applications (e.g., email, spreadsheets, word processing).
