Job Summary
Role: Mechanic II – Equipment Maintenance
This is a master-level, highly skilled position focused on the maintenance and repair of a wide range of complex mechanical systems and equipment. The role involves advanced diagnostic work and hands-on service of diverse vehicles and machinery, including:
* Automobiles and police cruisers
* Heavy-duty trucks and fire apparatus
* Construction equipment and emergency vehicles
* Tractors, small engines, and other specialized equipment
The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical expertise, a commitment to safety and efficiency, and the ability to work independently on preventive maintenance and emergency repairs across various vehicle types.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a mechanic working with complex mechanical systems and equipment
Equivalent education and experience may be considered if it demonstrates the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
Valid CDL-B(Commercial Driver’s License) with Air Brakes and Tank endorsements
Valid New Hampshire Vehicle Inspection Certification issued by the NH Department of Safety.
