Payt is seeking a highly experienced and driven Business Analyst – Team Lead to spearhead analytics and business intelligence initiatives within our Personal Loan (Lending) vertical. This is a critical leadership role responsible for driving data-backed decision-making, optimizing lending processes, and leading a team of analysts to support business growth, risk management, and operational excellence.
The ideal candidate brings strong domain expertise in lending and personal loans, a strategic mindset, and proven experience in leading teams while working closely with senior stakeholders across product, credit, risk, operations, and technology.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage a team of Business Analysts supporting the Personal Loan business

Own end-to-end business analysis for lending products, including acquisition, underwriting, disbursement, and collections

Collaborate with product, credit, risk, operations, and tech teams to define and prioritize business requirements

Analyze large datasets to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and performance drivers

Develop dashboards, MIS reports, and KPIs to track business performance and portfolio health
-
Drive process improvements to enhance customer experience, reduce risk, and improve profitability

Support credit policy development, risk strategies, and decision frameworks

Present insights, recommendations, and performance updates to senior leadership

Ensure data accuracy, governance, and best practices across analytics deliverables

Mentor, guide, and upskill team members while fostering a high-performance culture
Required Skills and Qualifications

Strong expertise in business analysis within lending or financial services
-
Deep understanding of personal loan products, credit lifecycle, and risk metrics

Advanced proficiency in SQL and MS Excel (complex formulas, pivot tables, data modeling)

Experience with BI and visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar)

Excellent stakeholder management and leadership skills

Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities

Ability to communicate complex insights clearly to business and leadership teams
Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Economics, Statistics, or a related field

6–10 years of experience in Business Analysis or Analytics within lending/financial services
-
2+ years of experience leading or mentoring teams
-
Prior experience in fintech, NBFCs, banks, or digital lending platforms is highly preferred
