Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and Development: Conduct research on renewable energy sources, focusing on biomass, wind, solar, and biofuels. Develop novel techniques to optimize the efficiency of sustainable energy systems.
  • Process Design: Design, simulate, and implement chemical processes that enhance renewable energy generation. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate chemical engineering solutions into larger sustainability projects.
  • Data Analysis: Monitor and analyze chemical process data to ensure efficiency and safety standards are met. Utilize predictive modeling and analytical techniques to inform project direction and improvements.
  • Environmental Compliance: Ensure all projects comply with environmental regulations and standards. Advocate for sustainable practices across all operational processes.
  • Project Coordination: Lead and support cross-functional project teams, coordinating tasks, resources, and schedules to meet deadlines and achieve project goals.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Prepare detailed technical reports, process documentation, and presentations for stakeholders, highlighting project progress, findings, and recommendations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field; a Masters degree is preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of renewable energy processes, including bioenergy, solar, and wind technologies.
  • Proficiency in chemical process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus, HYSYS).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and adapt to changing conditions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
  • Familiarity with environmental regulations and compliance standards.

Experience:

  • Entry-Level: Suitable for recent graduates or individuals with up to 2 years of relevant internship or work experience in chemical engineering, especially within renewable energy or sustainability projects.
  • Prior experience in process design, environmental analysis, or sustainability initiatives is a plus.

Working Hours:

  • Full-time position; 40 hours per week with flexibility for project-based work schedules and occasional travel to project sites.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong foundation in thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and chemical reaction engineering.
  • Knowledge of sustainable design principles and environmental impact assessment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage project components independently.
