Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and optimize chemical processes for water treatment and purification systems.
  • Perform water quality testing and assess chemical treatment methods to ensure optimal results.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, environmental engineers, and technicians, to implement water treatment solutions.
  • Develop process flow diagrams, piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID), and system specifications.
  • Monitor and analyze performance data of water treatment plants and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Conduct research and stay updated on emerging technologies and regulations in water treatment and purification.
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations to stakeholders, clients, and regulatory authorities.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations, maintaining high standards of safety and sustainability.
  • Provide training and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians.
  • Troubleshoot system issues and provide solutions to improve overall performance.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of water treatment processes, including filtration, chemical dosing, and disinfection.
  • Proficiency in process modeling software and engineering design tools (AutoCAD, Aspen Plus, etc.).
  • Understanding of environmental regulations and sustainability practices in water treatment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical abilities.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and high standard of work quality.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations, including those related to water treatment plants.

Experience:

  • Entry-level to mid-level experience in chemical engineering, preferably in the water treatment or environmental sector.
  • Internships or previous work experience related to water purification systems will be an advantage.
  • Familiarity with both municipal and industrial water treatment processes is a plus.

Working Hours:

  • Full-time position, typically 40 hours per week.
  • Flexibility may be required depending on project deadlines and operational demands.
  • Occasional travel may be necessary to project sites or client locations.

  • Strong technical knowledge of chemical processes and water treatment systems.
  • Ability to interpret technical data and make data-driven decisions.
