Additional Requirements

Joint Duty Credit

All executive-level positions at DIA require Joint Duty certification in accordance with Intelligence Community Directive 601. Eligible experience includes at least 12 months of successful performance at GS-11 level (or equivalent) post-September 11, 2001, in roles such as:

* Prior military service
* Details, rotational assignments, or temporary positions in another Intelligence Community (IC) agency
* Equivalent private sector, academic, or governmental experience

Note: Candidates without Joint Duty credit may still apply. If selected, a waiver or proof of qualifying experience will be required prior to appointment.

Position Authority

This is a Defense Intelligence Senior Level (DISL) position. DIA is authorized to establish and fill DISL roles under Public Law 104-201.

Probationary Period

A one-year probationary period is required for all DISL appointments.
Applicants joining DIA from outside the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS) must complete an additional one-year probation (total of two years).
