Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and results-driven Civil Engineer to lead and support road construction and infrastructure development projects. This role involves planning, designing, and overseeing the execution of public and private sector civil works including highways, drainage systems, pavements, and municipal infrastructure.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in roadway engineering, site servicing, and municipal standards, and can work collaboratively with contractors, government agencies, and multidisciplinary teams.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design, plan, and supervise the construction of roads, highways, sidewalks, and other civil infrastructure

  • Conduct site investigations, surveys, and feasibility studies

  • Prepare engineering drawings, specifications, and cost estimates

  • Ensure all designs comply with municipal and provincial standards

  • Monitor project progress and coordinate with contractors and consultants

  • Perform quality control and inspection of work completed on-site

  • Manage documentation, permitting, and environmental compliance

  • Provide technical support during bidding, construction, and closeout phases

  • Liaise with city officials, utilities, and regulatory agencies as needed


Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s degree is a plus)

  • 3–7 years of experience in road construction, infrastructure, or municipal engineering

  • Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in the province or eligible for registration

  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, MS Office, and project management tools

  • Strong knowledge of local construction codes, environmental regulations, and safety standards

  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills

  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites

  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
