Job Summary
Fresher Jobs is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Civil Estimation Engineer to join our dynamic team. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and cost estimates for civil engineering projects, including roads, bridges, and buildings.
- Analyze project blueprints, specifications, and other documents to develop comprehensive estimates.
- Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and constraints.
- Conduct market research to identify pricing trends and sourcing options for materials and labor.
- Assist in the preparation of bids and proposals, ensuring all relevant information is included.
- Monitor project costs and performance, providing updates and recommendations for cost control.
- Participate in project meetings and contribute to the decision-making process regarding design and construction methods.
- Maintain accurate records of estimates, costs, and changes throughout the project duration.
- Stay updated on industry standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements related to civil engineering and construction.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Proficiency in estimation software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Excel, and other specialized estimation software).
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Experience
- 0-2 years of experience in civil estimation or related roles. Recent graduates with relevant internships will be considered.
- Experience in preparing cost estimates for various civil engineering projects is a plus.
Working Hours
- Full-time position, Monday to Friday, with occasional overtime required to meet project deadlines.
