Job Summary
HR Service Jobs is seeking a meticulous and results-driven Civil Estimation Engineer to join our growing team. This role is ideal for candidates with a solid background in civil engineering and a sharp acumen for cost estimation, project budgeting, and tendering. The selected candidate will play a crucial role in preparing accurate cost estimates and supporting our project planning and execution teams to ensure financial viability and competitiveness in bids.
Key Responsibilities

Analyze project plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to prepare accurate cost estimates.

Evaluate labor, materials, time requirements, and project specifications to forecast project costs.

Prepare Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and rate analysis for various civil engineering works.

Liaise with architects, consultants, contractors, and suppliers to collect cost-related data.

Conduct site visits to assess scope of work and support pre-bid activities.

Review contracts and identify potential cost risks or overruns.

Assist in tendering and bidding processes, including technical and commercial submissions.

Prepare and maintain a database of costing, materials, and suppliers.

Monitor project costs against budget, and report on variations and discrepancies.

Collaborate with project managers to ensure estimates align with project execution strategy.
Required Skills and Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.

Strong knowledge of estimation methodologies and tendering procedures.

Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and estimation software (e.g., Candy, PlanSwift, or similar).

Excellent mathematical, analytical, and organizational skills.

Strong communication skills for dealing with clients, vendors, and internal teams.

Detail-oriented with the ability to work under tight deadlines.
Experience

Minimum 2–5 years of experience in civil estimation, preferably in infrastructure, residential, or commercial construction projects.

Prior experience with government and private-sector tenders will be an added advantage.
Working Hours

Monday to Friday – 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM

Occasional weekend or overtime may be required based on project deadlines.
