Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Operate front load trucks to collect waste and recyclables from residential and commercial properties.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and operational efficiency.
• Maintain accurate records of pickups and deliveries, including route information and any incidents.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members to optimize routes and resolve any issues.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies to ensure safety on the road.
• Assist in loading and unloading materials as necessary, ensuring proper disposal in accordance with regulations.
• Maintain the cleanliness and maintenance of the vehicle, reporting any mechanical issues promptly.
• Provide excellent customer service, addressing client inquiries and concerns professionally.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Valid Class A or B Commercial Drivers License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
• Proven experience as a truck driver, preferably in waste management or similar industries.
• Strong knowledge of local and state traffic laws and regulations.
• Ability to operate heavy machinery and equipment safely.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience driving commercial vehicles, with a focus on front load trucks preferred.
• Experience in waste management or recycling operations is a plus.
• Familiarity with GPS and routing software is beneficial.

Working Hours

• Full-time position with flexible scheduling, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends as needed.
• On-call availability may be required during peak seasons or emergencies.
