Job Summary
As a Customer Service Representative at Cigna, you will play a pivotal role in providing exceptional service to our clients. Key Responsibilities
- Respond promptly and accurately to customer inquiries via phone, email, and chat.
- Assist customers with questions regarding their health plans, benefits, and claims.
- Provide clear and concise information to help customers understand their options and resources.
- Resolve customer complaints with empathy and professionalism, escalating issues when necessary.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of Cignas products and services to offer informed support.
- Document customer interactions and feedback in the appropriate systems for tracking and analysis.
- Collaborate with team members and other departments to enhance customer experience.
- Participate in ongoing training and development sessions to stay updated on policies and industry changes.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelors degree preferred.
- Proven experience in customer service, preferably in a healthcare or insurance environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to empathize with customers and maintain a positive attitude.
- Proficient in using computers and customer service software; familiarity with CRM systems is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Experience
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a customer service role, ideally within the healthcare industry.
- Experience handling sensitive information and maintaining confidentiality.
Working Hours
- Full-time position with flexible scheduling options.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
