DuckCreek DMS Solution Engineer

Job Summary

Sutherland Global Services Ltd is seeking an experienced and technically sound DuckCreek DMS Solution Engineer to join our cutting-edge technology team. This role will be responsible for the design, development, deployment, and support of DuckCreek DMS (Document Management System) solutions in alignment with our client requirements. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in DuckCreek technologies, particularly DMS modules, and contribute to innovative solutions that drive business transformation within the insurance technology space.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement document generation and management solutions using DuckCreek DMS.

• Collaborate with business analysts, developers, testers, and project managers to translate functional requirements into technical specifications.

• Customize and configure DuckCreek templates, components, and workflows to meet unique client requirements.

• Manage end-to-end DMS lifecycle, including versioning, testing, deployment, and documentation.

• Ensure scalability, performance, and security compliance of the DMS solutions.

• Participate in solution architecture reviews, quality checks, and code optimization efforts.

• Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and issue resolution during and post-implementation.

• Maintain up-to-date documentation, user guides, and technical design materials for knowledge transfer and audit readiness.

• Work closely with clients and internal stakeholders to gather feedback and continuously improve DMS functionalities.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Minimum of 3+ years of hands-on experience with DuckCreek DMS or DuckCreek Technologies.

• Proficient in configuring SmartCOMM (or similar document generation tools) within DuckCreek.

• Strong understanding of insurance business processes, particularly P&C Insurance (Property and Casualty).

• Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC), Agile methodologies, and DevOps practices.

• Knowledge of XML/XSLT, .NET technologies, and relational databases such as SQL Server.

• Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Experience

• 3–7 years of total experience in enterprise-level software engineering, preferably within the insurance or fintech domain.

• At least 2 years of focused experience in DuckCreek DMS configuration, support, or development.

• Experience in client-facing roles is an added advantage.

Working Hours

• Full-time role: 40 hours per week

• Flexible working hours with overlapping support during U.S. or EMEA time zones, depending on project requirements

• Remote/Hybrid options available

• Strong skills in technical documentation and stakeholder communication

• Ability to troubleshoot complex issues in document workflows and APIs
