Job Title: Electrician – Industrial & Commercial Construction

Salary: CAD $34 – $45/hour (based on experience and certification)
Job Overview
We are seeking a certified Electrician with proven experience in industrial and commercial construction projects. The successful candidate will install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems on active construction sites including warehouses, factories, office buildings, and retail units.

Key Responsibilities

Install conduit, wiring, panels, lighting, and control systems in accordance with blueprints and electrical code

Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and circuit diagrams

Test and troubleshoot electrical systems using appropriate tools and equipment

Collaborate with project managers, site supervisors, and other trades on active sites

Ensure all work meets local, provincial, and national electrical codes

Maintain tools and equipment in safe, working order

Complete accurate documentation and follow company safety protocols

Assist with temporary power setup and maintenance during construction

Supervise apprentices and ensure proper training on job-specific tasks
Qualifications and Requirements

Valid Electrical License (Red Seal or 309A/442A)

Minimum 3–5 years of electrical experience in commercial or industrial settings

In-depth knowledge of Canadian Electrical Code (CEC)

Proficient in installation, diagnostics, and repair of electrical systems

Familiarity with construction safety procedures and PPE usage

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Physically fit and comfortable working in varied conditions (heights, confined spaces, etc.)

Reliable transportation to job sites

Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
